In the 1960s there was nothing to run in. Just cotton shorts that were so heavy when wet. There were no waterproof jackets and no lightweight fabrics, so British marathon runner Ron Hill took the matter into his own hands and founded Ronhill.

Drawing on years of experience, Ron pioneered simple but revolutionary new innovations in sports apparel such as the shorts with a side split and the development of new, moisture wicking textiles. What is now standard in today’s running performance apparel were Ronhill world firsts. That is why Ronhill is more than just a sports apparel brand, they’ are a running institution.

Ronhill is named after Dr Ron Hill MBE from Accrington near Manchester, England. He was a scientist, world record breaker and a runner. But not just any runner.
