The impressive Rhine Gorge with enjoyable trails characterize the running experience. Two valleys, both shaped by the Rhine, the Vorderrhein and the Hinterrhein, form the backdrop of this Graubünden trail marathon. The Transruinaulta is a good and eventful introduction to the world of trail running. Transruinaulta Curta 24km
The Transruinaulta Curta measures 24 kilometers and leads from Ilanz to Rhäzüns. From Ilanz, the first town on the Rhine, the trail runners start practically directly onto a beautiful single trail along the young Vorderrhein. After the first 11 kilometers in the middle of the Rhine Gorge, there are steep climbs up to Versam, through the Versamertobel to Scardanal and on to Rhäzüns.
Transviamala 19 km
Right through the legendary Viamala Gorge. Starting from Thusis along the historic route of the viaSpluga, partly on mule tracks that the Romans used, it leads to the Schamsertal. The Transviamala has already been voted the most beautiful run by runners in Switzerland six times.
